Set it and Forget it
After reading how to attach and set the Dial-a-Depth Fishing FloatTM, I couldn't wait to give it a test.
I went to Melvern Lake in Kansas to fish for crappies. It was slow at best because the fish were deep into the brush-piles. After struggling with them, I decided to fish a submerge point. I motored over the point several times and saw a concentration of fish just on the deep side of the break. These fish were in 12 to 13ft, with the top of the point at 10ft. I marked the top and decided to cast a jig and bounce it over the edge to see what would hit. I got 1 strike in 11 casts and it was a white bass.
Then I attached the Dial-a-Depth Fishing FloatTM to the 10lb. test Fireline with a 1/4oz jig & a Crappie Pro Chrome Shad body. Set the depth at 12ft and cast it out over the school of whites. As soon as it got to the set depth, it just kept going down with a white bass on it. I was able to attach this very quickly and set the depth to the inch.
This is GREAT!!
This winter when those crappies get suspended over a channel, I'll be able to as Ronco says "Set it and Forget it".
By the way, caught and released 19 whites. As a guide, my clients will love the success they will reap using this system. Thank you for such a fine product!

Got them, used them, love them
Got mine today and used them 30 minutes later. Worked great. Someone from your business posted a message on the Walleye list about your floats. She used the nick Jane. Thats how I heard about your fishing float. Here is the message I posted on the list about your float. Several members knew I was gonna order a couple and they wanted me to report how I liked them.
Wednesday morning I bought two (2) Dial-a-Depth Fishing FloatsTM online. To my surprise today (Saturday) I received my floats by mail. It was early enough to get out on the lake for a few hours and try them out. I was really impressed with them. They worked great. They do keep letting the line out to the set depth time after time. I caught a 6.5 lb catfish and it worked just great and next cast the line went right back to the 16 feet depth I had pre-set it for.
The only two things I have a problem with are:
- The numbers on the dials are a little hard to see (for me anyway)
- Since the above the surface part is so small, at night time it would be very hard to see at any distance.
Now if they had a little hoop or hole type thingy so the float would hold one of them little night sticks ( you know, the little green thing you break in the middle and it starts to glow). I think it would be just great. But, until they fix that issue I will have to do the duct tape thang. know what I mean Bubba ? lol :)
$19.00 is a little steep for a poor ole guy like me but, they did just like the lady (Jane) said. So I thought I would let you guys know how they worked for me. Now lets see how long they will hold up with several days a week use.

The first fish caught using a Dial-a-Depth Fishing FloatTM
Mike and his wife Jayne went to her family reunion, and on the way back, Mike stopped at a small lake off I-70 that is inhabited by bass, crappie and channel cat. Very soon after arriving and a few short casts later, Mike caught a nice 2½ pound large mouth bass using a Dial-a-Depth Fishing FloatTM
There was a fisherman on the lake that saw Mike catch the bass. Excited by seeing Mike's bass he said, "What did you use to catch it? I saw that yellow thing start to bounce in the water, the fish struck and I thought, what the heck is that"? After Mike explained, he immediately wanted to know where he could get one.
The bass was caught in adverse weather conditions. The temperature was 100 degrees with intense sunlight. Mike used the dancing worm technique (described on the product info page) to attract the fish. This one of a kind fishing float is an exciting new product that will enhance fishing to a greater level of satisfaction. Whether the fish are on the bottom or suspended, the Dial-a-Depth Fishing FloatTM will bring them in.
